Apart from the most horrendous check-in experience (take the bad reviews for this place very seriously), we paid a 500USD security deposit that was never returned to us. It has been two months since our stay, during which time we have sent multiple emails about this money. After the first response, where they said this was an oversight, they have proceeded to ignore our follow-up messages.

I booked a room with this hostel, and then had to cancel so I messaged them and they did not respond. Then I called and talked to the owner and he said I only had one bed and not the five which I had booked. I said I needed to cancel then and he said that was fine and he cancelled my booking. I asked if I would be charged for the room and he assured me I would not be. Then he charged me 500 dollars anyways. I called many times and he would not respond to my phone calls or messages. Basically he lied to me and stole my money, and then gave my room to someone else. I am a single mom of three and had saved for 6 months for this trip but the owner did not care. The owner is a terrible person, don't book here.
