If you read the many positive reviews on our hotel you would see many guest say they felt safe and comfortable at our very clean hotel. Unfortunately Uber drivers take passengers through a rough part of the city to get to our hotel but in fact the Chalmette area is completely safe and I am sorry that you rated our hotel so poorly due to the fact of one neighborhood you might have driven through. We will continue to make sure all of our guest have a wonderful experience while staying with us at the Holiday Inn Express Chalmette.

Had a great experience at the Chalmette Holiday Inn Express. Trena and Melanie were very helpful in selecting local restaurants. Rooms were very clean and supplied well for all our needs. The morning breakfast had a good variety for our selections and opened on time every morning. Would definitely stay here again.

Staying in Chalmette we didn't feel safe for families with kids, the hotel seems in the middle of a high risk neighborhood.

The room was clean. Was not able to close the blinds in a mobility room. Acting manager was so mean and told me that the blinds are not support to work for a handicap person. Had to change hotels because of the hotel not willing to accommodating my needs for which I have already paid for a mobility room. Wires were hanging from the blinds. I was so disappointed the hotel did nothing but put me in a hearing disability room with a unsafe shower chair that didn't fit the bathtub at all. I cried because I was not able to enjoy my stay because the staff not caring or understanding that I had needs that they were not willing to meet and not accommodating me for the bad time I was having.
