You must meet innkeepers, Barbara and her mother, Zrinka. They jointly operate a beautiful, intimate, small B&B near Plitvice Lakes. They will overpower you with their genuine hospitality and friendship. They will overfeed you with their homemade pies, like tiramisu, apple strudel and banana nut loaf. They will bend over backwards to honor your request. They even do porterage up the steps. We only stayed one night. But what a memorable night's stay. At breakfast they provide the provisions for lunch. There are at least two cats belonging to neighbors that always are trying to enter the premises. In the morning before breakfast, I came down at 6 am to ask Barbara to make me a cup of coffee. She was so obliging even though she was busy preparing the breakfast buffet. We could also order eggs anyway you wish. I would love to come back to Zrinka House.

Arriving soaking wet after a day's walking in the National Park we had a fantastic warm welcome from Barbara, who told us to come down for tea and cake when we had got ourselves warm and dry. The room was huge and warm and the bathroom was also big so there were plenty of places to hang wet clothing. We had a great dinner in the restaurant a short drive away which Barbara had recommended. Breakfast, presided over by Barbara's mother, was extensive. She even supplies bread, cheese and ham to make packed lunch. Such a welcoming atmosphere.

Incredible hosts and staff - couldn’t more friendly and helpful. Clean spacious rooms including large bathroom with excellent shower. Quiet area. Great nights sleep. Good position for exploring the area with a car and plenty of free onsite parking.

The reception by Barbara was exceptionally warm. She showed us to our room and gave us recommendations for nearby restaurants for dinner. Large parking lot, and easy access from the main road. The morning breakfast cold and hot buffet was extensive and fresh. From the buffet offerings, Barbara and her mother encouraged us to pack a picnic lunch for our planned visit to Plitvice Lakes NP. Every table was supplied with white picnic bags.

Zrinka and Barbara are the perfect hosts. The house is so clean and pleasant and mother and daughter cannot do enough to make your stay fabulous. This was our second visit and I would highly recommend it.
