Everything was great except for the fact that it was only October 4 and the pool was already closed. We come from the north so it was very disappointing to have it closed already.

Omg. What a nightmare. After driving 10 hours from Florida all we wanted to do was check in (pre-reserved through *******), get food and go to bed. The card readers were not working and card after card was declined even though I knew there was credit and money in my bank account. The two staff at the counter acted like it was us- statingt hat basically there was nothing they could do and that there was no manager available. Only when several other people tried to check in and had the same issue did they call for assistance and attempt to have the situation fixed. We left tired of waiting and ended up eating taco bell since cracker barrel closed while we were dealing with the hotel staff wasting our time. When we came back we were able to get our keys but received no apologies about the inconvenience (earlier they also remained factual and unapologetic about the inconvenience).

Large room, very quiet. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast had many options. They served warm chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon which was a treat.

Second stage just as good as first
This is our second time staying in this hotel and it was once again a great day. The hotel staff are very friendly, especially the employees that work in the breakfast area are always making sure that there is enough food and that folks have what they need.

I appreciated the large, well lit parking lot. My room was clean and stylishly updated since my last visit to the same hotel. However, the elevator I took when I arrived had trash on the floor when I checked in at 10 pm. The same trash, in the same location when I returned to the elevator at 9 am the next morning. The free breakfast was a disappointment. By 9 am most of the food, especially the potatoes, were gone; the attendant told me they had no more. Why advertise breakfast from 6 am to 1 am without enough food for that period? The staff in the kitchen area behind the food area played loud music -- at 9 am. I could not stay and drink my coffee at the nearby tables because the early morning music was simply annoying.
