I don’t understand why this hotel has so few reviews. It’s truly a hidden gem! The rooms are spacious, quiet, and very comfortable, and the owners are welcoming and always ready to help. I stayed here as one of the first guests and had absolutely no complaints. What I liked most is that they are constantly improving the hotel, so each stay will only get better. A wonderful experience — highly recommended!

La Palapa Inn was the perfect place to stay for our visit to Port Barton. It was easy to find and close to the bus terminal which was very convenient when carrying our bags in on arrival. The accommodations were clean, modern and comfortable with great internet service. While set a short distance away from the town/beach we were able to walk everywhere within 5-10 minutes and felt extremely safe walking during the day and evening, with tricycles available close by if needed. We liked being a bit further away from all the hostels to relax when we wanted and enjoy a slower start to our day. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful in recommending restaurants and activities; and, they went out of their way to arrange a private transfer for our departure. Highly recommend.
