We were really impressed with AR Palace Hotel- it is just 100 steps to the public beach (I counted). The beach itself was recommended by a swimming instructor who organised holidays in Sicily and the water glorious. Thankfully the hotel has a private car park which my husband joked was worth the price of the stay. Our suite was huge, the kitchen area large and well equipped, we had a large garden with loungers, chairs, table and chairs and a shed with a drying rack (it was great having a washing machine mid way through our holiday). The suite was clean and the manager friendly and welcoming. As a bonus there are no keys, it’s all key codes so you can go to the beach and not worry about losing the key. Coincidentally the lady in our car hire place recommended the restaurant next to the public beach which was also a great recommendation! We would go back.
