Stayed here last week following the unexpected death of my brother in law. I wanted to take my wife for some respite after we had spent days in hospital.
The room was basic and very cold, broken lamps, the bed was two singles fixed together and was hard with a summer quilt on, we asked the reception if we could have something warmer and they bought up a single, cheap flimsy quilt without a cover!
Bathroom has damp marks & screen thick with mould. They had a left a small oil radiator in the room but it was not on when we arrived and it barely took the edge off when on. The room was noisy. Peoples footsteps above were heard throughout the night and people talking on the landing.
There was no wifi and data which was annoying as we still needed to communicate to our family.
The breakfast was again basic and the room had dirty plates on tables whilst staff chatted. The spa and pool area was run down and not the cleanest.
When checking out I told the man on the reception desk everything.. not once did he look up from the computer screen. The hotel has been stripped so much that it lacks any warmth or character, and the investment in staff seems to have been stripped too, they just don't care!
To them we were simply people giving them £130 to stay in a room but to us this was supposed to be a night away from the trauma we had just experienced, a night to think of ourselves rather than be strong for someone else, a night where we can reset breath and cry.

This was a very pleasant stay in a great location, ideal for where we were travelling. I had read some iffy reviews but happy to report that we need not have worried. The room was clean, the shower had been recently upgraded and the breakfast was excellent with a variety of choice. The manager of the coffee shop was very helpful and friendly as were the reception staff. There was also a nice woodland walk. We will definitely stay there again should we be travelling to that area for a long weekend.

房间位于一栋单层砖房内,兼作卧室和休息室。
地毯非常脏。
垂直百叶窗摇摇欲坠。
整个区域年久失修。浴室冷热水龙头一直在滴水。
花园景观。(真是这样吗?)
83英镑,不含早餐。
前台人员并不真正关心,花园咖啡馆下午4点就关门了,尽管之前被告知会提供一些简单的食物和饮料。
算了吧。一些水疗中心的用户非常粗鲁,显然住店客人根本排不上号。
我们预订了两晚,想好好享受一个轻松的温泉周末。因为是温泉酒店,我们计划整个周末都待在酒店里。
到达后,我们被告知餐厅和酒吧都不能使用,因为它们只用于举办活动。
之后我们在温泉咖啡厅吃了午饭。食物还可以,但服务很糟糕。
之后我们办理了入住手续,去了房间。清洁工还在那里,她非常抱歉,也很有礼貌,人也很好。房间非常棒,卧室、浴室和客厅都很大。
我们出去找了家酒吧吃饭。回到房间休息时,发现楼下正在举行派对,而且非常热闹。声音很大,很吵闹,吸烟区就在我们窗外。我们打电话给前台,但他们已经客满了。好在午夜时分一切都结束了。
我们9点半下楼吃早餐。早餐剩下不多了,而且全套早餐都凉了。当我们提出质疑时,得到的答复只是“它从7点就放在那里了”,就那样放在银托盘里,在旁边放了两个半小时,既没有加热也没有重新加热的选项。根本没法吃。
第二天,我们放弃了付费的早餐。
之后我们想去水疗中心放松一下。哈!结果泳池很小,没有可以放松的地方,只有几把塑料椅子,根本算不上水疗中心。桑拿房和蒸汽房也很小。按摩浴缸坏了,只是一池浑浊的水,冒着几个气泡。
不推荐。这里以前似乎是个很棒的地方,而且本来也可以成为一个很棒的地方,但自从被收购后就失去了灵魂。真是太可惜了,因为建筑和环境都很漂亮。
我必须补充一点,清洁人员和前台的女士都很棒,热情友好。
除了抵达时接待的那位女士之外,其他工作人员似乎都漠不关心,而且一点也不专业。例如,我们走进咖啡馆,点了咖啡和烤三明治,却被告知“我不想做任何事,因为我还有其他工作要做”。早餐时,餐具和陶器很脏,我们不得不向服务员要勺子。工作人员大部分时间都在看书或玩手机。房间和淋浴间功能齐全,也很干净,但令人担忧的是,火警报警按钮被遮挡了。
破旧
这个地方破败不堪,浴室破旧发霉,花园房里弥漫着污水味。早餐7点半还没准备好。按摩浴缸氯气太重,让人咳嗽不止。水疗区脏乱不堪,甚至没有毛巾。整个地方都需要一些细心的呵护。接待人员很友好。但总体来说,水准很差。
糟糕的住宿体验
我谨就最近在霍尔布鲁克庄园的住宿体验提出强烈投诉,这次住宿体验简直糟糕透顶。我要求全额退款,这简直是一次完全无法接受的体验。
首先,我们卧室(12号房间)的窗外就举办了一场婚礼派对——尽管我们在预订时提前打电话告知了此事,但从未被告知。音乐声震耳欲聋,宾客们一直谈笑风生,直到深夜,根本无法放松或入睡。房间没有空调,我们通常会开窗,但这次我们不得不关上窗户——即使关上窗户,我们仍然能清楚地听到每一句对话和每首歌。这严重违反了基本的接待标准,完全没有为宾客提供安静的环境。竟然没有人认为有必要告知我们窗外正在举行的一场喧闹的私人活动,这真是令人无法接受。
其次,我们明确要求入住无障碍客房,因为我们的一位客人拄着拐杖。预订单上清楚地注明了这一点。结果,我们甚至从“无障碍”停车场也要爬十级台阶,还要穿过长长的走廊才能到达房间。我的客人在整个入住过程中都很吃力。如果您的酒店不具备接待残疾人客人的条件,您有义务拒绝该预订。
漂亮的花园房
房间非常漂亮舒适,电视信号不好,根本看不清。房间里有个迷你冰箱很不错。清洁人员需要处理一下咖啡厅区域,因为那里的玻璃天花板上满是蜘蛛网和死苍蝇。早餐不够热。
