The history, the charming renovation, the location right on the beach, nestled between the fort and a peaceful Shiva temple, the pool, the verandahs, the delicious food (special mention for the fish salad and fish varuval), the garden with its swaying palms and fragrant flowers, the churches just down the road, the fishermen out at sea, the waves lapping just beyond the walls, the slow pace of life, all make this place a dreamy, unforgettable stay.

A lovely and relaxing stay, lovely rooms and wonderful staff. The food was out of the world! Walks on the beach, in the lap of nature and history. The best Neemrana I have ever been to...

Poorly maintained property. Not worth for the money spent. Dining place is horrible, you have to share your food with houseflies, crows and cats. Very much understaffed, even in reception. Won’t recommend

The location is the best thing about the place. It’s right on the beach & you can just sit in the balcony & watch the waves all day long. That having been said, my stay there was not the best. There is zero service with just a staff of 2. The whole place was somewhat shabby. My bathroom had fungus on the walls. I asked for an extra sheet & was given one that looked like a used one. The food there was really indifferent too. The masala fried fish was soggy & dripping with oil like it had been refried. The rest of it was just about okay. Nothing to write home about. And there were too many flies everywhere. We came here assuming that a Neemrana place would have a certain standard , & having paid a rather stiff price for the room, I would definitely expect much much more than the pathetic service & food that we got there. I would definitely actively discourage anyone from going to Bungalow on the Beach unless something is done to drastically improve everything in that place.

Wonderful old world atmosphere with artwork and antique furniture that reflect this small hotel's unique Indian and European cultural heritage. Comfort, luxury and the feeling og going back in time. Beautiful location, a swimming pool beside the beach in the loveliest seaside town I've seen in India. Quirky museums, churches, graveyards, a Danish fort and temples. We loved it.

We enjoyed the perfect three nights stay at Neemrana's Bungalow on the Beach. Fantastic rooms, great food and a perfect location by the ocean and just across from Fort Dansborg. Service was excellent. I can only highly recommend Neemrana's Bungalow on the Beach!
