Positive points • We stayed in a superior room, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable • Great location, very convenient for reaching all the activities. • The husky sledding and hiking experiences were truly fantastic • The hotel provides a thick thermal suit, which is absolutely essential given the cold and the wind. • Good coordination of the activities, with several short boat transfers that made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Negative points • We were very disappointed with the food quality: hardly any fresh products, very little prepared or cooked on-site. Most meals seemed to be reheated or industrial, especially the desserts (doughnuts, brownies… tasteless and clearly industrial). • During the “husky sledding & Sami culture” excursion, the lunch consisted of a basic sliced-bread sandwich with some tea. For this type of activity, it felt really unprofessional. • The owner, who is a bit elderly, was not warm or welcoming at all and often seemed bothered when she was around. • To be completely honest, the owner was downright unpleasant, which really affected the overall feeling of hospitality. • Fortunately, the rest of the staff was excellent, and they truly made up for it. ⭐ Overall opinion We are happy with our 4-night stay and the incredible activities, but we expected better service and especially much better food.

We did a four day package around Oct 1 at the lodge. Although we were really off season (of our four nights there were only other guests the first night), we loved the the tundra's beautiful fall colors. Our primary goal was to see Northern Lights and we did three of our four nights! Svein tries very hard to be sure his guests get the experiences that they seek so he took us out on his boat and had us walk to a shelter with a bonfire so that we could get away from the "city" lights to better see the aurora. The room was very nice and the bed comfortable. Food was plentiful and very good and the staff was wonderful! Be sure to get a massage from Rebecca if you go.

We enjoyed 3 nights at the lodge. Very friendly and entertaining owners. Delicious breakfast and dinner with local and fresh products. There are a few hikes on the island with very nice views. The last night Svein took us on his boat to enjoy the late sunset. The lodges are very clean and comfortable.
