Belvedere La Cristina was excellent. The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was impeccable for driving the Transfagarasan Highway as it is located south of Vidaru Dam. A large sign by the road helps with locating the Pension. The owner, who speaks excellent English, offered to cook for us for a very reasonable charge in the evening, but the house also offers two shared kitchens, and some nearby restaurants. If offered, I highly recommend the grilled pork which was excellent and far too much food for one person. Our room was in a building detached from the main house. Our room looked brand new and was very comfortable and quiet. The bathroom included all the expected amenities and a nice shower. Free off-street parking which is a bit tight, but they make it work. This was a last-minute change to our trip that really was an excellent experience.
