We had a great stay at Konk hostel. Check-in was easy with the online app. We are a group of 3 in a private double and a bed in a shared dorm- because it was out of season we pretty much had the hostel to ourselves. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable! The shared dorms had little curtains on the beds to give privacy. The shower was lovely and hot as well. We used the free washing machine and dryer in the common areas which was really handy after a day of scuba diving. There is a vending machine in the common area with drinks, snacks and the coffee pods for the coffee machine (you need cash for this). We saw a member of staff briefly but we didn’t need them and they were great at communicating through wassap. If you’re in a shared room you’ll get a notification to say when someone is going to be joining the room with you which is handy to know. The location is fine, we chose it as it’s 10 minute walk to the dive school. As we were out of season we had to travel down to Cape Palos to find open restaurants, we used the bird scooters (there is a scooter station 5 minutes walk left from the hostel) There is free street parking close to the hostel. I would recommend this hostel and will be happy to stay again. I have a few comments just for improvement below for the management: 1. Frosted glass doors on bathrooms! These give little privacy or block any sound, I don’t think these are suitable for shared dorms. 2. A mirror outside the bathroom would be great for hair appliances and make-up etc. 3. The bed was very comfortable! But the duvet without a cover was sharp on the seam and scratched.
