We stayed here over the holidays. Although we were only staying two nights, we opted for a 1 bedroom suite. What a great choice! The room was spacious for two people, allowing one to watch tv in the living room while the other relaxed in the comfortable king size bed in the separate bedroom (also with its own tv). The room was clean & quiet. While we didn't use the kitchen area to cook anything, it provided everything you would need for an extended stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast provided a great variety of hot & cold options. The weather was nice enough that we could enjoy time in the evening on the outdoor patio around the fire pit. We would definitely stay here again.

From the moment of arrival the front desk (Amaya) made me feel like an inconvenience. I booked my room using points. I checked in online. I arrived on time. Amaya could not find me in the system. I offered to give my confirmation number but she left the front desk. When she returned she told me my reservation isn’t really in the system because I used points and I didn’t have a card on file for incidentals. I assured her my card was on file. You need one to book the room. I am also lifetime Titanium Elite and have followed the same booking and checkin process when using points. Odd that she found my non existent reservation to create my room keys. She rudely told me to swipe my card for incidentals and gave me the card. No mention of a thank you for being an elite customer. No offer of water either. My sons (both elite members) checked in behind me. One was offered water, neither were thanked for being elite members. Very rude person at the desk. The toilet in my room was backed up. Sean from maintenance came right away. Very kind, quick to work and solved the issue. At check out, I spoke to the manager about both experiences but she didn’t have any comment to offer other than she apologized for Amaya not acknowledging my elite status. Clueless about what true customer service looks like. Sean knew how to treat a customer. He should train the front desk and the manager. If you ok with mediocre service, stay at this hotel.

Stay at Towneplace Suites Norfolk.

The breakfast was full of variety of options, hot and cold. It was higher quality than most hotels I’ve been to. The bed was very comfortable and I liked the privacy of the suite room separate from the living area with a door. Another great feature was the soundproofing of the rooms.

All staff was friendly and professional. Rooms and all areas were very clean. Exercise room and pool were nice and clean. Very quiet which makes it great to relax and sleep.

Easy parking and close to restaurants and shopping.
