Adorable motel with firehouse theme. Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Within walking distance to many things. Quiet rooms. We really liked it here and would definitely stay again. No breakfast would be the only downside. But many places close by to walk to.

We stayed in one of their cabins next to the motel and it was so cute. They are just little log cabins with a front deck and it was perfect. The employees were so amazing and helped us plan out our days in Michigan. There’s a little coffee shop/cafe right across the street that was so yummy and convenient. 10/10 recommend this motel.

We recently spent a night at the Firehouse Inn. We had a room with 2 queen beds. Don't expect much other than a place to stay. The bathroom had no electrical outlet for a hair dryer (bring your own) or shaver. The heater was an electric unit down at floor level that you had to get down on your hands and knees to read the controls. No coffee maker in the room. My bedframe broke in the middle of the night when I turned over while sleeping. Looked like it had broken before and was pieced back together. I like trying to support a small owner but in all honesty there are better deals to be had in St. Ignace. One positive - there was still a bottle opener screwed to the wall next to the door!

It's not the fanciest or most modern place you will find in the area. But, it's supporting local people and not a corporation. So we rented a cabin for two nights. It's like stepping back in time a bit. Older light fixtures, outlets and floors. But the air worked, the unit had a fan - which was perfect because I like white noise when I sleep - there was a flat screened TV with cable, microwave, refrigerator, comfy beds and sheets and comforters nicer than some hotels we've stayed at. There is a covered area in the back of the property with grills and picnic table (although we recommend going down to B.C. Pizza for outdoor eating and delicious pizza!). The price was exceptional for the little cabins. Ours had three full beds, so it slept 6 - and was a fraction of the cost of local hotels. Let's be honest, how long are you in your hotel when vacationing?! Why pay more? And again, support local! Lastly, Austin at the front desk was very accommodating. After a long day on the island he made a late check in super simple.
