Exciting boat trip over with my two teenage sons and our bikes. The hotel was lovely, staff were very friendly and interested in us, food great and reasonably priced. Breakfast lovely and hot! Blessed with the beautiful weather! Great music at night in the Club. €5.50/pint of Guinness! Great island to visit!

Great weekend, weather not good but you can't plan for that. Still managed to walk the island, lovely spot. Big shout out to the staff in the hotel, the Scottish lad Craig for the cocktails and to Lauren for all the craic and the banter. Bar food top notch, will definitely go back. Will probably use the fast boat the next time, the journey on the big ferry was a bit too much of an adventure. Lucky it wasn't rough apparently.

- very helpful Lovely people - serviceable rooms and good food - lovely conservatory- very convenient location. Good food with gluten free options - a big bar with music from time to time. Place to sit in foyer but a little dark - the conservatory is better.

We spent the night in Tory Island Hotel and as a result we were able to take our time and see the entire island without rushing. Bedrooms were comfy and Mary cooked a top notch breakfast. It was great being able to leave our bags after we checked out to view the island. Thanks for having us! Laura, Carla and Brien

Visited Tory, the ferry over was terrible. We were told the sea was ‘ok’ when boarding the boat. We had no safety briefing before our trip started, no one instructed us where life jackets were, like every other ferry crossing we have been on. The waves were terrible, with the boat seating really bad and 1 person was sick on the boat. 1 staff member could be heard complaining about ‘the tourists who come on the boat and boke all over the place’… Perhaps if people were informed about what to expect, they could have made a better decision as to travel or not. Every person on that boat contributes to their lively hood and I’m sure no one planned on being sick so some respect should be shown. However Sean was fabulous and chatted to people and reassured them that everything was under control and no one was in danger. Only for Sean, there would have been a lot more panic onboard. The ferry used is a fishing boat and evidently not suitable for passenger travel. I will never be back.

The hotel was friendly and relaxing and the food very good. Beds were comfortable. It was the perfect location for hearing and seeing the corncrakes, which was the point of our visit. It was a great experience all round and would thoroughly recommend it for bird-watchers and non bird-watchers alike.
