It was the first time I stayed at this Marriott brand and I would definitely check them out in the future. Mine was a spacious one-bedroom apartment, with a complete kitchen, basic kitchen supplies, lots of closet space and a washer/dryer. There is not even a reception desk or human employee, other than cleaning staff who only come to your apartment by request. All transactions and communications are done through an app and entry to the building and my unit was with a code vs key. Clean, simple but stylish decor, modern furnishings, one art piece per room, comfortable bedding. I would suggest investing in an upgrade to the bathroom - it was old and antiquated with a rickety showerhead. Towels were rough. There is a rooftop deck with some lounge chairs and nothing else besides the great views. It is on Broad St (Avenue of the Arts), one block from South St, close to Magic Gardens and several performing arts theaters, a 15 minute walk to City Hall.

I stayed at Sonder Ovation on July 25-27. I booked through Marriott and it was going to cost $754. A few weeks later I see that it is $694 a night for the same apartment so I rebooked it. I didn't;t see any credit coming back to my credit card so I communicated with Sonder online and asked about the credit back. I received a response from a person named Dawid and he said the credit on your bill has been posted and will be restored to your credit card upon settlement of the bill. The apartment location was good and the building seemed secured. We use the virtual key provided on the Sonder app and it does not work. We called and they said just use the code instead. A little less convenient but OKI guess. We get inside and picked up food from a store. It is then we realize that they have all of the kitchen supplies EXCEPT FOR UTENSILS. We searched everywhere and then went down to the lobby where you are supposed to be able to get supplies but there were no utensils there either. Our bed mattress was sunken in to the point where it was hard to get out of the bed since it was sunken down t the frame. The a/c was either too hot or too cold. All of this was disappointing for an apartment that otherwise seemed nice. At the end of the stay I get a bill showing the full $754 charge with no credit! I texted the Sonder people through their app and they respond "Rest assured we are going to provide you updates as soon as possible" I texted again later after a few days and no response! I called the Sonder customer service number that Marriott had provided and they could not find my email from Dawid. Finally after I insisted they put me on hold and said that they had found it. The lady said that the late checkout requested was $46 (contrary to it being offered as $40 even. There was a pet fee of $9.98 which we did not have a pet! There were other miscellaneous fees. Somehow the bill miraculously added up to the original $754. The lady on the phone from Sonder customer service assured me "I promise I will call back later today and get this resolved. If not today absolutely tomorrow to bring you up to date" No call ever came! I would avoid this place entirely! They cannot be trusted with your business, they will lie, cheat and steal for a few dollars...it is sad!!

Love this place! We stayed in a two bedroom apartment. Great amenities, very clean, washer and dryer was handy! It was very easy to get to the historic district and other tourist spots by walking a short distance to the Lombard metro station. We parked our car in the Symphony garage, which was a short walk away on Broad Street. One night, the garage was full, but we were able to find parking on the street nearby. All of the staff members that we ran into were so friendly! The app worked wonderfully for us! I followed their tip of putting a widget on my phone’s lock screen to launch the mobile key and this was so handy! We will definitely stay here again!

LOVE this place! The apartments are spacious and modern, and very well-equipped. The staff is SUPER friendly and helpful and the rooftop deck is AMAZING! Also love the location. Walk to any and everything in Center City! Highly recommend!

Great place to stay at! It’s a 2 bedroom apt with kitchen, washer and dryer. Decent price over the hotels in the area. Would stay again in a heartbeat! It’s the perfect location where everything is accessible! I love the fact that I can walk to restaurants and tourist spots! The skyline view from the rooftop is insane!

I really enjoyed staying at the Sonder Ovation. We got a really nice suite — with a kitchen — for a very reasonable price. And it was in a great location, right in center city. We only stayed one night, but it would have been perfect if we were staying over a longer period and didn’t want to eat out for every meal.
