We stayed here as a group of three friends this year having previously staying a couple a of years ago. Marilyn and her family ensure that you have a really enjoyable stay, nothing is too much trouble. Great central location and only 20 metres from the ski bus stop (10.40 euros for the weekly ticket). Breakfast is continental with an egg boiler too which is great. Evening meal is four course and you will not go hungry after a days skiing. Bar prices are very reasonable too, good local house wine. Rooms are warm, comfy and quiet, with a good shower. Thanks again to all the staff at Villa Cary.

Stayed for a week with friends. This is a simple hotel run by lovely kind people who really want you to have a good holiday . Our room was small and it was impossible to see inside the wardrobe shelves . Positives , always hot water , comfy beds , nice and warm . The limiting factors was the food . Breakfast Continental and that’s 100% fine but every single day it was identical , no variation at all . Dinner was ok ish but boring , no choice over salted . The salads everyday was identical .. pasta dish ok all rather beige ! Desserts were probably the best part of rather boring dining . All in all this hotel has a place and a value point . With a little more effort it could be very good rather than just OK

We stayed at the Villa Cary from the 18th January 2026 for a week. Marlyin the owner was wonderful and couldn't do enough for you. My son is Gluten and Diary free and they cattered superbly for him and he never went hungry. This is a great place to stay and the resort for skiing/snowboard is absolutely amazing. I was injured on the first day, however I managed to do a lot of walking and would definitely come back to the resort and this hotel.

I concur with many of the recent comments so will not add too much. Traditional family run ski hotel in the middle of town. Coaches cannot enter the village but our tour operator arranged for luggage to be transferred to the hotel which is a 5-10 minute walk away. Hospitality was great and food plentiful and appetising. Breakfast had the usual cold choices with hot drinks. The rooms are quiet at night as there are no late night bars within earshot, although a quick walk gets you to some very fine drinking holes. I bought a week's bus ticket from the place next door which saved the uphill walk to the lifts and was entertained by Luciano the humorous and delightful driver. There are 2 busses an hour from outside the hotel. Overall, a great place to stay if you dont want more than the basic facilities and decent food. Thanks to Marilyn and the team.

A fabulous stay at Villa Cary for New Year. As a family of 11 we were made welcome from the minute we arrived. Marilyn was a brilliant hostess and went out of her way to make sure we were all well fed and looked after with excellent wholesome food. The hotel is really clean, the rooms are lovely and it’s well set up as a place to unwind after a day on the slopes with a nice lounge and plenty of board games. It’s well located in the town with easy access to a pharmacy, bars, restaurants and the slopes. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you are coming to Sauze.

Lovely welcome from Marilyn on arrival at Villa Cary. Our rooms were clean and tidy, although slightly compact with limited storage. We were on the 2nd floor and both rooms had a balcony which allowed us the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air with a cool beer after skiing. Ensuite bathrooms in both rooms with showers/sink/toilet and separate bidet (didn't use it) were spot on and cleaned every day. The food was good and plentiful. 3 course set menu every evening and seconds available occasionally. Breakfast was continental every day and there was always lots but it would have been nice to have a bit of variety perhaps on alternate days. Disappointed there was no option of toast or of having a boiled egg at breakfast, so simple, easy to provide and would have been great IMHO. *One point of concern in the hotel was the timed lights in the corridors which also provided light on the stairs !!!! The stairs were in complete darkness when the light goes out and there are no switches on the stairs or in the stairwells. This was particularly pertinent when carrying heavy cases and bags!!!* Thanks to all at Villa Cary (Marilyn, Ezio, Davide and all) A great holiday was had, even though snow conditions were not in our favour until the last day.

A lovely family run hotel with excellent staff. No complaints whatsoever regarding our stay here - simply a plain simple and honest experience. The food on offer was exactly what we needed after a cold day on the mountain and the hotel is well located for the centre of Sauze - though dangerous as we had to walk past the pizza by the slice place each day! Special mention must go to Marilyn and her team who were super efficient at mealtimes and always incredibly friendly. My family had a great stay here - the wifi was good for our needs and the rooms were exactly as described.

Just spent a superb week here. Thie highlight other than the joyful staff was the fact that my gluten intolerant daughter was provided with everything required with NO FUSS at all. Truly great place and great hosts. The trip was an absolute pleasure. Thanks. Would fully recommend.

Villa Cary is a small, family run hotel in the centre of Sauze d'Oulx with a 2 minute walk to the lively bars and restaurants. We were greeted by Marilyn who runs the place impeccably. If you're looking for a modern trendy hotel then this is not for you but we found the traditional style and approach to be endearing. The room was a good size with a balcony and a large bathroom. You had everything you needed for the weeks skiing including a boot room with ski storage and that all important bar and large dining room. There was also a relaxing area with games to play before or after dinner. The food was delicious and it was good, wholesome food. We were offered a salad bar to begin with followed by a pasta dish, then a smaller main course of meat and veg or potatoes and then a dessert or fresh fruit to finish. We were always offered seconds too and I have never eaten so much on a ski holiday! Marilyn and her team manage the hotel brilliantly and the rooms were spotless and towels changed mid week. Everyone always had a smile on their faces which is a lovely characteristic. Such a friendly, welcoming, traditional hotel and we would definitely return.
