My husband stayed there one night while in town for his high school reunion. Let the photo speak for itself. He was given room 204 but accidentally walked into 208…the key worked for both doors. Makes you wonder if every issued key opens every other room.

Condition of the hotel is in dire need of a remodel! Pretty cheap for one night, you decide if you dont mind the ghetto!

Fifty-five years ago, I stayed in this motel the night before I married my wife. It was a great stay! But this weekend was 100% turnaround. The room was awful. The door was difficult to unlock, an ironing board was in the room but no iron, the fridge was hardly working and dirty. The microwave was dirty, maybe a drip from a Hot Pocket, and I had to clean it before my wife would use it. The bathtub had heavy mold in one corner where it met the tile, and the shower curtain just grazed the top of the tub so when when the shower was used, the floor was a lake. The entire tub stopper had been pulled out and was sitting on the rim of the tub. Even if we'd wanted to, taking a bath was out of the question. The website indicated the place has a Restaurant. It does not. So no breakfast There wasn't even a morning cup of coffee available in the lobby area, and there was no coffee maker in the room. Before we went to bed, we walked to the Circle K across the parking lot to buy coffee to heat up in the microwave to drink in the morning. Neither was there an ice machine on the property. Also, 90% of the supports for the upstairs walkway were rotted. Besides being an eyesore, they were probably dangerous. On the plus side, the mattress was firm and comfortable (can't say much good about the pillows), and the shade did a good job of keeping the parking lot lights from flooding the room, but those things could never make up for the inadequacies of this place. We will never stay there again.

Hotel unacceptable

I had a job location about 15 miles from hotel that lasted a week. I decided to try it out the room, the owner said i could get a deluxe for $5 more so i agreed. The room was disappointing when i took a shower i reached up to move the shower head and it fell off!! But what really got me was the huge water roach that came out under my bed! Pay a few dollars more and get a better hotel thats in the area the owner doesn't care just wants your money.

My body aches after a days hard work and I just need to soak in a hot bathtub. The property was dated, but the price of the room was reasonable and the bed sheets were clean. The hot water was wonderfully hot.

Now that might seem a little odd, but the water in my room at another hotel in Yoakum Texas was just barely warm.

This alone made my stay great. It was Godsend to soak in a hot bathtub. The room was dated and really could be renovated. That said, the TV worked. The bathroom dated, but clean. The AC worked fine. The bed was good and the linen clean.

But best of all- THE WATER WAS HOT. And the staff was great !

Don't judge the book by its cover

The room was exactly as pictured. The room was very clean. The bedding was soft and smelt and felt clean. The bed was comfortable considering we stayed away from home. The outside of the hotel looks run down; however, everything else was great. The receptionist was very friendly and professional. I would stay there again.

This is a very clean and comfortable place at a great price point. The best thing is the really sweet couple running the place. It's an old property but for the price it is safe, clean and what you need for a couple good nights of sleep. I came here for a marathon in Shiner so it was a good location. It's near HEB and a few interesting towns like Luling and Gonzalez on the fringe of hill country.
