Matecumbe Resort is a nice old school but very up-to-date place to stay. They have everything you need. The pool is awesome. The marina for parking your boat a boat ramp. Everybody there was very nice and the place is well-maintained. And you can see they’re constantly doing upgrades.

Quiet, simple and clean. Office staff is not available before 9:30am or after 4pm.
Parking is supposed to be 1 per unit. However, lack of office staff meant that when people had multiple cars or friends over, there was no parking. Could not complain to anyone.

Our room was clean and roomy and we had everything we needed! Great pool area and grilling area. We really enjoyed our stay and will be staying here again!

The woman at the front desk was not very friendly and acted like I was an inconvenience. She also closed 3 hours early 1 day and changed the hours on the door.

It was nice the only thing we have a big truck and parking it was a little difficult. But other than that it was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Very disappointing stay.
The resort was overrun with huge mosquitoes (in the pool, playground, rooms, and even in our car). The apartment was just okay — the bathroom was clean, but the kitchen drawers were dirty, the bed squeaky and broken, and there weren’t enough blankets. Maintenance was loudly nailing on the deck right outside our door while my daughter was napping. The playground was dirty with animal droppings, and the nearby water smelled more like a swamp than the ocean. Staff were unfriendly, the front desk closed at 4 p.m., and customer service was poor. Overall, not comfortable or enjoyable.

It was nothing like the website at all. We could not go to the beach at all due to the excessive seaweed, which had the worst odor I have ever smelled. The a/c units were all rusted on the outside of the building. There was no housekeeping. Its the first resort that we've been to that doesn't have complimentary toiletries. Pool towels had to be checked out & you can only have the amount of people staying in the room. Check in is at 4pm & you have exactly 1 hour. After that its too bad, so sad. They make you wait until the next day. Laundry room is way overpriced- $3 per wash, $3 per dry. Thats insane. But I did it anyway because I dont like going home with dirty clothes. The list can go on but there is not enough room. I would not recommend this resort.

Great little spot, room was spacious, kitchen was well stocked and a welcome addition.
