We really loved our stay here. We stayed two nights in room #1, which was cozy, but very clean and comfortable for our family of four. What really made this place special was the owners. They went above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The grounds are beautiful, and I enjoyed watching the hummingbirds darting between the many feeders and blooming delphiniums during the early evening, as well as listening to the many nearby horses whinnying in the early morning while drinking my coffee. We stayed here so hubby and kids could fish. I didn't expect to enjoy it here, since I don't fish, but I loved the quiet solitude, and just the rugged beauty of nature all around us. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be back! Note: I thought I had already submitted this review. Our trip was in July of 2020.

We really loved this place. It was immaculate. The rooms were great and comfortable. Unfortunately due to time constraints, I couldn’t get any fishing in. I fully intend to stay here in the future. The Owners are very friendly, check in is seamless.

We decided to try something outside of a regular chain and loved our stay. We booked one of their cabins and it was so nice, rustic but with all the comforts you need. The cabin came with a kitchen, large fridge, table and chairs, TV, bathroom, couch and a separate bedroom. The cabin can easily accommodate a longer stay. The property itself is so nice with great views and also offers lawn games, fire pit area and a restaurant/bar next door. I would definitely book this again in the future.

A stay at the Sportsman Lodge in Melrose, Montana is good for the soul. Wonderful scenery and a quiet place to enjoy the beauty of the State. Ken and Bonnie hit it out of the park again, on my last visits in July of 2023. The owners and staff are friendly and accommodating. Melrose is a great place for me to break from a long trip from Nevada to Montana. They never disappoint. Stayed in the main cabin and the Lodge on the way back. The Lodge now has a restaurant and bar, so every thing a person will need for a restful break. I highly recommend a stay at the Sportsman.

We had a lodge room. All was very clean. Nice beds, bedding, towels. Huge grass area. great bar & restaurant, new laundry room on site too. You really feel like you are in middle of nowhere! All of staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. The RV section looked neat & tidy, not really big. Got kids or dogs, this is place for you!
