Our second time staying here and once again it was outstanding .When we arrived there was a bottle of wine and some chocolates waiting for us along with ice and a beautiful lodge .This lodge is amazing so very quiet, but only about an hour from York so close enough to things for you to do too .We will be back I love it here.Beds super comfy and amazing amenities with a wonderful decking and hot tub.The lodges are super clean too the cleaners do an amazing job.Lovely sitting outside at night watching the bunnies playing on the grass across the way so very relaxing .Perfect for couples and families with older children .

The food in the Blackwell ox was absolutely superb. A total taste sensation . I don’t know who cooked today but whoever it was they are in a league of their own. Along with friendly fabulous service they made our afternoon very special. Thank you Ps can you give me cookery lessons.

I have stayed in 7 different lodges across the country and this is by far the best. We stayed in Roseberry Lodge (which it took us until the end of the week to realise the big hill nearby is called Roseberry). It has practically everything you would normally have at home except a pair of scissors and sharp knives. - they could have done with a bit of sharpening. There was even hand-wash in each bathroom and kitchen and fairy liquid. It doesn't say in Hoseasons but there is a washer and it does sleep six. The only disappointment was that only half of the hot tub worked and they we did ask a couple of times for them to look at it. This did not spoil out trip especially as we have booked for Dad to take the whole family over Bank holiday. Deffo recommend. Gorgeous place, fav views and a great lodge.

We stayed in the Endeavour lodge for 4 nights with our two children aged 5 and 8. The lodge was perfectly suited to our needs; comfortable, tastefully decorated and very well equipped with lots of nice wee touches such as wine and chocolates waiting for our arrival and tea and coffee sachets/dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid/kitchen roll provided. The hot tub was a great way to unwind after a busy day and the decking area with the hot tub on was private and peaceful. We ended up ordering our dinner from the restaurant on site every night! The food was lovely (best prawn toast ever!), good sized portions and reasonably priced. The nearby town of Stokesley has plenty of shops and eating places and we visited both Lightwater Valley (40 mins away) and Flamingo Land (50 mins away) during our stay. All in all, we had a great break. Thank you!

A comfy, spacious lodge with views of the Cleveland Hills and a hot tub. We loved our stay here. There are so many beautiful places nearby. The food at the pub is excellent, authentic Thai or british pub grub and very reasonably priced. Loved the fact the lodge is solid wood with two seating areas outside and a very quiet location.

The most beautiful tranquil place. We have stayed here 3 times and evertime has been a pleasure. Absolutely beautifully kept everything you need for your stay. Luxury lodges beds are so comfy to. Will return for sure.

Went for Tea at 4pm. Pub was empty. I asked the barman if they were still serving food and he just said NO without any explanation as to why not. I asked if they were serving food at all and he told me that food wasnt served until 5pm. We decided to wait and we ordered some drinks. Asked for some pork scratchings later which they didnt have so we told barman we would wait for our tea and ordered 2 more cokes .Family came in later asking for food and he told them it wasnt served until 5 so they asked if they could book a table. He told them they were fully booked and he couldnt fit them in. We had sat there for 40 mins already waiting for 5 oclock so we could order our food and not once did the barman inform us that at 5 we wouldnt be able to get a table even though he knew we were waiting to order food .. I cant believe how rude unfriendly and patronising he was telling me he didnt know we had come in for food ( which was a blatent lie) as some customers just come in for drinks and how was he supposed to know we wanted food. I pointed out to him that my first question was are you still serving food? his answer was no and my second question was will you be serving food later and if so what time? He said I apologise for that madam in the most condesending tone ever . Our experience today was awful and we wont be back. We went to Y Thai in Stokesley and We had a wonderful meal and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lodge was fantastic with everything we needed , beds very comfortable & shower was first class apart from a soap tray would be handy. Only fault we had in lodge was the site of the tv was too high & would be much better on a table beside the window , no cricked necks then . We had English food in pub , not very nice as steak pie wasn’t “ home made” , chips were frozen & not very nice & vegetables were from a packet , put us off trying the Thai food
