I lived in Ketchikan over 50 years ago, I was just a kid when we moved to Georgia. I have wanted to come back so many times and this past year I made it happen. I looked online for a place to stay and the Black Bear Inn caught my attention and I’m so glad it did. My husband and I stayed in the Eagles Nest from July 25th. to August 5th. When Nicole took us to our little home away from home it just felt right. I couldn’t believe I got to stay in such a cozy little apartment for 10 days! The little apartment had everything we needed and more. The kitchen is beautiful and perfect, just so easy to cook in and make whatever we wanted with all the dishes and pots and plates. There is a washer and dryer right in the apartment, looks brand new, easy to use and everything to wash with detergent and fabric softeners, everything we needed. Nicole and Jim are the nicest people, anything we needed, they were there. Jim showed us where the fishing poles were and we fished almost everyday. The Black Bear Inn was the best choice I could have made to stay at, comfortable and laid-back. I am already planning for my 2026 trip and of course we will be staying at The Black Bear Inn.

My husband and I loved staying at the Black Bear Inn. It was very clean and very cozy. The view was spectacular along with gorgeous sunsets. Location was perfect.

We had a Fantastic vacation at the Black Bear Inn! We started every morning with a nourishing breakfast and then with the guidance of Jim and Nicole we took in many adventures. We snorkeled, hiked many trails, visited state parks and ate at great restaurants. It was so nice to finish our days in the fully furnished Raven Suite, soak in the hot tub and sleep in comfortable beds. Rainy day, no problem! Nothing better than snuggled in a day bed reading a book and admiring the great view from our window. Thank you Jim and Nicole for allowing us to stay at your Beautiful place! Justin and Charlotte-WI

We had the most pleasant stay at black bear inn. The hosts were so kind and welcoming. We felt like we had arrived at home! They thought of everything we could possibly need. The scenery is gorgeous and the king bed was so comfortable. They had breakfast in the morning and helped us find a wonderful hike close by the Inn. Would highly recommended a stay! Beautiful Inn right on the water. Incredible.

The Inn is beautiful, comfortable and on the water. You could spend mornings watching cruise ships coming close enough to wave to the passengers. Jim and Nicole are locals that enjoy sharing their stories. It was like being with family, in a good way! My room had everything I needed. It was a perfect 3 days.

Jim and Nicole were absolutely the best host. The property was beautiful and well maintained. We stayed in the Ravens Haven and it was clean and spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. Nicole was amazing with accommodating us when another local lodge failed to fulfill our reservation.

This was one of the most beautiful places to stay! It really made our Ketchikan visit extraordinary!! The owners were so welcoming and friendly, and it really made us want to go back. Thank you so much for everything that you included in our stay. The rooms were beautiful. The food was great and the views were fabulous!! If you were looking for a little Unique getaway this is your place. We will definitely be back with our family and friends :)

We had an excellent visit! Located in a great spot and easy to get into town. The owners Jim and Nicole were fantastic. Welcoming and full of suggestions on what to see. They were available and happy to assist with anything. Rooms were big and plenty of space. We will absolutely be back!

Our vacation at the Blackbear Inn was fabulous! My husband and I stayed in a small upstairs apartment that was absolutely gorgeous and fully stocked. Nicole and Jim were wonderful hosts and the location was excellent ! Car rental was simple and facilitated by Nicole. Jim picked us up from the ferry and gave us a tour of the town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
