I throughly enjoyed this busy pub. From start to finish with my breakfast, it was an enjoyable experience. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, easy to reach. The room was comfortable, with a good shower. Would highly recommend it.

My partner and I travelled from Japan and stayed on our arrival in the UK at the White Hart at Hook as it is close to where some relations we would be seeing, live. The Inn is easy to find using Google maps and we found ample parking available. The lady on reception was friendly and professional and was aware of how our jet lag was affecting us. The room we were allocated was on the first floor of the accommodation building at the rear of the inn and although no lift available we were able to carry two big suitcases to the room without too much of a problem. The room was bigger than we were anticipating and every facility in the room worked well and the whole accommodation was very clean. The double bed had a warm duvet and was comfortable. I had mentioned on booking that my partner was celebrating her 50th birthday on the day we arrived and asked in the booking notes if a small cake could be purchased by me for the occasion. When checking in the lady at reception told me that the Inn did not do cakes, but she would go locally and get one, which I thought was a remarkable offer. Sure enough, after an hour there was a knock on our door and the lady from reception and another staff member came in with a cake and lighted candles, singing "happy birthday". This made my partner's day! I asked later how much I owed them to which the lady said there would not be a charge for the cake. I find that this kind of service and customer relations is unavailable in the big chain hotels (I have done over 100 nights staying in chain hotels so far this year, so have an idea of their service) and would thoroughly recommend the White Hart as a place to stay. Unfortunately due to our time change of 9 hours from UK time, vwe did not have the breakfast at the Inn, but from what we saw of the set up and the ambience, it will certainly be something we will have on our next stay there. Thanks again to the staff for making our stay something special.

Faultless. Very welcoming, friendly, clean, comfortable. Food was lovely. Wide menu choice for breakfast. Quiet overnight and rooms were dark. Garden was spacious with plenty of tables. Cannot think if anything negative to say. Great value for money. Thank you Viv

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We were there less than 20 minutes, we received a (£100) parking fine from Europarks (Cowboys) who "operate" their car park. Car park was practically empty. Saw no signs about parking. Anyway who charges for Pub car parks in the **** end of nowhere?! I suppose the pub get a cut of the fees. Shoddy. Goi to a pub who want your business!

We managed to book a room for one night at The White Hart and it was just perfect. When we arrived we got a very nice welcome, and staff couldn't do enough for us. A big car park, controlled by parking eye, which was simple to log your car on. After having a drink in the bar, we ordered our meal and I had steak, which was lovely. The room was very spacious, the bed very comfortable, which had tea making facilities, and the shower was excellant. Overall great value and recommended.

Absolutely outstanding!! Called me on the morning of our booking to confirm bed arrangements (NEVER has any hotel done this before). They called to ask our arrival time and when we revealed we were running late, the manager Linda waited up for us until midnight to make sure we were in! The room was first class with comfortable beds and a first class breakfast. Surpassed all expectations and we will be staying there again! Thank you for your hospitality.

Food, service and room all exceeded expectations for a village pub stay over. Comfortable bed, room quiet even on Saturday night, tastefully decorated and good bed with upmarket linen. All at a very reasonable price. There's a lovely wood to walk in nearby.
