I stayed at this hotel in Ella for three nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff is truly exceptional — warm, friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. I felt welcome and well taken care of from the very first moment. The hotel itself is beautiful: the location is great, the rooms are comfortable and spotless, and everything is maintained with great care. A special thank you goes to the hotel manager, who helped me tremendously when my transport to Colombo got cancelled unexpectedly. He organized everything quickly, communicated with the driver for me, and made sure I got safely to my destination. His support left a very positive and lasting impression. Overall, I can highly recommend this hotel. It’s a place where you feel genuinely cared for, and I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you to the whole team for such a great stay!

Every room also has a balcony where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. What makes a stay here special is the staff, led by the hotel manager, Mr. Shane Rozairo. He and his team are known for their warm, efficient service and are always happy to help with local tips or anything you need. Firstly and most concerning the pizza base was mouldy, this was only realised after I’d eaten most of it. Secondly, if you’ve had a wood fired pizza before you will be incredibly disappointed. They did cancel the bill, but serving mouldy pizza is unacceptable.

Ordered peppered beef curry, which proved to be a mistake. Looked good, smelt good but no amount of chewing could render the meat swallowable. The vegetarian side dishes were lovely, and the poppadoms were great. My wife’s Tom Yum soup was tasty but full of lemongrass shards. Shame really; with a little more care of the ingredients this could have been a lovely meal. Wasn’t charged for the beef component of the rice and curry meal, so fair enough.
