The smell of the room was nauseating .To offset the smell I kept the air on at 73 and opened the window for the duration of my stay with good results. The person I spoke with was very helpful When I checked in and with the wifi:)

Little piece of heaven
This place is absolutely precious. Loved the location and the amenities. The bed was not as comfortable as I would want, but other than that, this place is recommended stay!

Fantastic little gem!
The room was spotless, quiet and it is in a great location in proximity to Matlacha and Pine Island, which is where I spent my time. The best part was the communication with Stacy in the office. She made the process easy, was personable and friendly, responsive and I enjoyed meeting her and having a conversation about the area. It was very informative! Overall, an excellent choice. I travel extensively for my work, so I have points and status at multiple large hotel chains. However, Matlacha on Shoreview is exactly the type of place I like to stay when not working. It's a place I will return to again and one that I am almost reluctant to talk about because I want to keep it a secret!

Very nice space. Located in a cul de sac with little traffic. Area was quiet and right on the water. Clean room with everything required for my stay. Had to check in over the phone because nobody was in office, but it was handled quickly. 100% will return. Thank you

This was the perfect getaway. The owner is delightful and the property is well maintained. Having a kitchen in the unit was great, and we also used the grills on site. The area is away from the usual tourist spots; however, you are a short drive to several beautiful beaches like Sanibel and Venice.

We absolutely loved our stay at Matlacha on Shoreview! Tucked away and wonderfully quiet, it felt like a true off-the-beaten-path retreat. The staff went above and beyond—so friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home.
We especially enjoyed the complimentary kayaks for exploring the water and really appreciated having laundry facilities available during our stay. A special highlight was the Memorial Day reception with delicious snacks and beverages—it was such a thoughtful touch that made the holiday feel extra special.
This place is a hidden gem, and we can’t wait to come back!
