We had a really lovely stay at Brij Villa Dalhousie – A Colonial Luxury Retreat and would highly recommend it. From the start, the hospitality was excellent — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, to the point where it felt even better than being at home. The property is beautiful and very well maintained, set in a peaceful and scenic location. The colonial-style building has a lot of character, and the nearby abandoned kothis, all within short walking distance, add a quiet charm and give a sense of what Dalhousie must have been like years ago. A special thanks to Sachin, the manager, who made sure everything was smooth and comfortable throughout our stay. Rahul and Anuj were also outstanding — always polite, helpful, and ready to assist with anything we needed. The food was a highlight. The chef was very accommodating and customized meals as per our preferences. The Makki di Roti with Sarson da Saag was excellent, and the Pahadi mutton is definitely worth trying. I also have to add — I had one of the best khichdi’s here 😅. Every meal felt thoughtfully prepared and clearly made with a lot of love. On clear days, the view to the east offers a glimpse of the snow-capped Himalayas, which is truly beautiful and worth waking up early for. Overall, Brij Villa offers a comfortable stay, great food, and warm service in a lovely setting. A place we would happily return to.

A true home away from home. Our stay at Brij Villa was extremely comfortable and memorable. Mr. Sachin Rana and his wonderful team—Atul, Rahul, and the chef—took exceptional care of us throughout our stay. With the freezing cold weather, the nightly bonfires were a real treat, made even better by the delectable snacks served. The high tea experience was delightful—sitting in the lap of nature, sipping hot tea, and enjoying pakoras and samosas was truly special. One of the most thoughtful touches was that after dinner, Atul would give us a hot water bag and soaked almonds—small gestures that made a big difference. Rahul was always happy to take us for a drive to the market whenever we wished. Mr. Sachin Rana also surprised us with a lovely gift on behalf of Brij Villa, which was very touching. The entire villa is cozy, warm, and tastefully done. A beautiful place with equally beautiful hospitality—we would love to return. -Smitila Barnabas

We welcomed the new year at the beautiful and centrally located Brij Villas. The experience was truly memorable. It felt far less like a hotel stay and more like something thoughtfully curated. Mr Sachin and his team were exceptionally warm and attentive, ensuring everything felt seamless and personal. Their hospitality was genuine and effortless. We left with beautiful memories and would return without a second thought.

Brij Villa is excellent in hospitality. They treat you like family and make sure that humane touch is there when they interact with you. They make you feel special and important. It’s more like a family environment there. They accommodated my additional requests, guided for the places nearby, provided complimentary food at times on bonfire or when I was sitting outside taking a good look at the beautiful view outside. View is great and stay is also comfortable with all amenities. Highly recommended.

We traveled as a group of 8 people - 4 oldies (65+), 2 kids (8+) and a couple to Brij Villa in Dalhousie. Given the hill station is a small place, the location is easy to find on thandi sadak. The hotel is located at a substantial height which guarantees great views, away from the hustle of the city and untouched forest walks. The hotel has only 6 rooms with two categories - imperial and deluxe. The imperial room comes with an insuite dressing room and an attached bathroom. We took 3 imperial rooms which are all beautifully heated, tastefully decorated with all possible amenities. A very well stocked mini bar with complementary snacks, a nespresso and exquisite teas came with it. The hotel has a beautiful lawn which was great for sunbathing, kids play area or bonfire spot and a back lawn which was perfect for long walks. The hotel offers the one thing which all destinations lack these days - quiet and serene atmosphere. You spend the day breathing in the pine leaves and the deodar trees which fills your lungs with oxygen. Due to the boutique nature of property, the cleanliness is outstanding with rooms cleaned and restocked regularly. I would specially call out the outstanding service this property offers. The chef is excellent cooking exceptional North Indian food and aromatic tea and coffee. Do try their barbecue snacks - they are better than any others I have ever tasted. A final word on hospitality - the hotel goes out of its way to show care. Whether it is suggesting snacks that go with your drink, or handing you soaked almonds at night or hot water bags to keep you warm. I would not hesitate to say that the hospitality at this hotel is better than even Taj or ITC that I have stayed in many number of times. The price might sound steep but I would assert that it is still value for money due to all the warmth, hospitality and unique location it comes with

Absolutely amazing place. A gem of place at the top of Dalhousie. The attention to detail is amazing. Like giving heat water bags and soaked almonds at night things which are small but pleases your heart. If you’re at Dalhousie you should stay here.
