Be aware! We've booked this location 1.5 month in advance on *********** as a last stopover within a longer trip. It has been confirmed. But 2 days before our journey, they sent us a message that there was an error in the pricing and they will add $30 extra charge for the night. (As a fact, without asking or apologizing) We've tried to explain them in French and English that this is not how it works. She was not open to any resolution and wants us to cancel the booking because probably this way she can give the room to someone else for a higher price or for a longer stay without any consequences. I've contacted *********** and I'll update this post as the situation advances. Digging through the reviews on *********** and TripAdvisor, others were complaining that they changed their room because another guest wanted to stay longer or offered another room and charged more. Now I see that ours it is not an isolated incident. I just don't understand how they have good ratings. Worst booking experience ever. Though I've been in 20+ countries and booking many-many locations.

We have stayed here twice this month en route to and from Halifax and Montreal. The B and B is charming and full of character and, like the owner Pauline, very welcoming. The rooms are extremely clean and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and hot water ample. The breakfasts are delicious, substantial, and beautifully presented. Pauline is a kind and generous host. On our second visit we had car trouble and she picked us up from where we were stuck and brought us to the gîte. In the morning she assisted us in resolving the problem. Service above and beyond the call of duty! We'll certainly stay here again!
