Kauri Villas cannot be adequately described with words. It needs to be experienced and embraced. I am filled with peace and joy upon arrival, and melancholy when having to depart. Mike and Andrea are the most amazing hosts: kind, hospitable, friendly, welcoming and full of warmth. Stunning surroundings and the most beautiful cottages, with luxurious amenities, a spa pool and swimming pool overlooking the heads. The gardens and surrounding areas are vibrant and pristine. There is so much to absorb, and I can't wait to return to this slice of paradise. 10/10

Enjoyed our stay here. The accommodation is excellent and in a beautiful location. The hosts, Andrea and Mike, go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The cottage was super clean, modern and equipped with everything you'd need. We'd have no hesitation in recommending it.

What a perfect introduction to the New Zealand country side. Kauri Villa was the first stay after leaving Auckland. Driving up the road to the house, we were blown away with the views. Andrea, our host greeted us and already we knew we should have booked more nights.She showed us to the Camelia Cottage which had a large stocked kitchen with everything you could need, a living room, and bedroom all beautifully decorated. It truly is a charming cottage.The bathrobes were especially soft and cozy. There was an outside barbeque, a barn complete with all kinds of games, a basketball hoop, and a bush walk on the property. The property is gorgeous! We did the short 1k walk on the property, past the sheep. There is also a pool and hot tub but we did not get the chance to try them as we were taking advantage of all the special places that Andrea suggested we explore.

Fabulous spot for a long weekend away from Auckland. The sea view from the main property is amazing, and the pool / games barn a great place for the kids to be entertained. The hosts are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We stayed in the Kohinui (family) cottage - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, and heat pumps/AC in every room. The cottages aren't new, but the hosts have done a great job in making sure they feel clean and comfortable. Parua Bay village (with petrol station, bakery, and Four Square) is a short drive away. Ocean Beach is about 10 mins drive, should you want a day boogie-boarding or a dip in the sea. Or you can stay put and relax by the heated pool / hot tub at Kauri Villas with that amazing view. This place is a great find in a less-populated holiday spot, and reasonably priced for what you get - highly recommend!

A beautiful little gem sat up high above Parua Bay. Lovely, welcoming hosts, great walk in their private woodland and a real treat to have use of a swimming pool and hot tub on a perfectly formed terrace area with amazing views. Camelia Cottage was absolutely perfect - clean, modern and light. A short drive to Parua Tavern which offered good quality and value food. Would highly recommend this lovely place to stay if you're looking in this area.

beautiful property with lovely owners. The accommodation was quiet and in lovely grounds, use of the pool and hot tub was also a great bonus, cannot recommend this highly enough
