Second time we have stayed at this Retreat. The owners are friendly and we always enjoyed a chat. The room we had was at the rear of the building, upper floor with views of palm trees and lovely wildlife. The rooms were cleaned every three days. Air con / fan was appreciated. Ideally located just a two minute walk across a very small quiet road to the beach, and close to all the village amenities. Would certainly recommend Hilias Retreat.

Our stay at the retreat was so perfect that we booked again for the last days of our trip to India. Rena and Hilias were wonderful hosts, friendly and helpful, getting us medication when I hurt my back. The rooms were spotless and in a perfect location, 2 minutes from beach, but quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to return and would highly recommend.

Perfect location and very clean nice bathroom small but spotlessly clean comfy bed fridge full of bottled water mr & mrs Hilias incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome hired a scooter from them 500 a day good value I think Coco Cabana directly in front of home so perfect for breakfast.We had booked 5 nights but stayed 7 in the end.

We stayed here for 6 nights over the New Year. We paid a bit more than we would have liked but it was over the holidays. The room was clean and had a balcony and a fridge. The owners were lovely and helped us with any questions we had. No food on site but it didn’t matter as everything was within walking distance. Beach was 100 meters away. Would recommend.

A lovely clean place just one row back from thd beach, literally across a quite road, through the beach bar and onto the beach. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Staffxwere super friendly and our bedding and towels were changed every few days..palolem is a quiet resort with a great safe beach for swimming

Although the rooms are basic they are clean & the WiFi is good .
The hosts are wonderful and will help in anyway they can we were given a kettle and hairdryer when requested. We also hired a scooter from them at a very reasonable rate.
The beach front can be loud up till about 11pm at times . We personally found it great to be just a minute away and it was more peaceful .
